Joyce and Avrum Gray Family Children’s Center at Spertus Institute

One traditional Jewish story says that at the origin of time, the world and everything that it includes (the stars, the sun, the moon, the animals and the plants) was created using the 22 Hebraic letters. The story also says that once ALL the different letter combinations will be made (in words, sentences, stories), the world will be perfect.

This project for the Children’s Center at Spertus Institute is designed in collaboration with Jim Lasko, the Artistic Director of Redmoon Theater. Together with the educators and director from Spertus we designed a center that celebrates the alphabet, words and all the stories about the beginning of the world that we can tell with them. Completed in 2008
